TAMPA, FL -- USL and Turner Broadcasting announced a partnership to provide exclusive online video streaming of USL First Division matches featuring all 13 clubs beginning April 2007 through the 2009 season. The matches, which cannot be found on traditional broadcast or cable television distribution, will be available on the new broadband channel USL Live at http://www.USLLive.com, launching early April 2007.

USL Live will utilize Turner’s expertise in operating and managing new media businesses for other sports properties including NASCAR.com, PGATour.com, PGA.com and ACCSelect.com. ACC Select, a broadband network that was launched in September of 2006 as a partnership among the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC), Raycom Sports, Lincoln Financial Sports and Turner, broadcasts more than 600 of the conference’s non-televised sports events each academic year.

“We are extremely excited to announce the launch of this initiative,” said USL executive vice president and chief operating officer Tim Holt. “Our previous forays into online broadcasting showed great potential and we are confident that what Turner brings to this partnership will make USL Live a tremendous hit with our fans around the globe. This broadcast program will enable the most widespread exposure of USL soccer and, in particular, USL First Division soccer in the 20-year history of USL.”

USL Live is a new broadband experience that gives fans the best seat in the house for the sport they love, the soccer teams they care about and the games not available anywhere else. With full-screen video delivered right to the computer, USL Live provides front row access to USL events whenever fans want—live or on-demand replay. Consumers can watch USL First Division matches live or on-demand on a per-event basis or with a monthly all-event pass or season-long pass. Package pricing and the event schedule will be announced at a later date.

Je ne croirais pas, mais ça risque de tourner autour de 5-10$ par mois.

Selon quelqu'un de la ligue (qui, je le note à chaque fois, poste sur un site des supporters):

"Just to clear up any confusion. ALL games not part of a USL national broadcast package will be available on USL Live."

Donc peut-être qu'il y aura doublon pour les matches de la SRC.

Dans tous les cas, ce sera plus facile de suivre l'Impact cette saison que n'importe quelle autre.

19.95$ USD pour toute la saison et 3.95$ USD par journée.

Ça risque de coûter moins de 1$ le match, je dirais. Y'en a qui vont trouver le moyen d'enregistrer sur leur ordinateur, je dirais .

Et c'est une entente sur 3 ans.

Maudit que ça fait du bien des bonnes nouvelles!

Dans le cas de la MLS, il n'y avait pas tous les matches et c'était des matches télévisés, tandis qu'en USL il faut tout équiper JUSTE pour les webcasts.

50$ c'est un peu trop pour beaucoup de gens, mais si on peut avoir une passe d'équipe à 29.95$, je crois que c'est bien acceptable.

Pour le moment, les abonnements ne sont que disponibles aux Américains (le problème a été indiqué à la compagnie).

Ne lisez pas ce qu'ils disent avec leur % économisez, c'est du gros n'importe quoi (on compare à 12 passes d'un mois).

Les prix:
- Tous les matches (160) et les séries: 49.99$ (avant le 1 mai)
- Une passe d'un mois (obtenu par calcul): environ 10$
- Un match: le prix n'a pas été annoncé
- Une équipe: je doute qu'on offrira cette option, trop de gens veulent suivre que leur équipe, donc on risque de vouloir forcer les supps à acheter TOUTE la saison.

C'est à l'Impact de mettre ses culottes dans ce dossier. Après tout, ils ont été trompetter dans tous les médias locaux que TOUS les matches de l'Impact seraient diffusés sur Internet...

S'ils ne font rien, ils vont avoir l'air un peu beaucoup épais.
