This would be my guess at the Canadian content on the opening day roster:
G Greg Sutton (if he's in Europe, then Theo Zagar)
G Mike Franks
D Nevio Pizzolito
D Gabe Gervais
D Adam Braz
D Andres Arango
D Winston Marshall
M Patrick Leduc
M Alfredo Valente
M Felix Brilliant
M Sita-Taty Matondo
M Jason DiTulio
F Jason Jordan
F Will Johnson
F Charles Gbeke
This would be a relative "worse case" scenario. Sutton may be onboard to play near home, but they'll have to pay him near the max. Pozniak might be a possibility since he's on a Norwegian 3rd Div. team right now, but things change. Canizalez, Sulentic might also make a move back if they can't make inroads in Europe. Radzs' contract doesn't expire til summer '07...As far as Bernier, Placentino or any other Scandanavian based or lower league players from the Big 4 ie. Eng. Champ., Serie B, Bundeslga 2, there's nary a chance of seeing any of those players back with MLS TO unless they falter.

It makes me laugh and cry at the same time
On the Voyageurs forum, there were lots of debates about an MLS team in Toronto during the last 3 years
And the pro MLS always tried to reassure everyone saying an MLS team in Toronto won't do harm to Montreal and Vancouver, won't take their best players, wonMt this, won't that and only will do well to canadian soccer
Now, the team will probably come, that same people begins to do poissble squads for MLS Toronto and which names are there ? All the best from Montreal and Vancouver !
That proves that all what they were saying about MLS was bullshit !
